Resident Services

Strong communities are built of more than brick and mortar; they are dependent on strong families.

New Directions Resident Services provide housing-based human services designed to foster self-sufficiency.

Homeless Services

The Homeless Services Program assists homeless, single-parent families as they work toward permanent housing.  As families rebuild themselves emotionally and financially, case management includes goal setting and monitoring.  Families are provided a private shelter unit, furniture and household items, a transportation allowance, service referrals, and housing counseling.  Parents work on attaining high school degrees and moving into the workforce while living in the shelter.

Program graduates have paid off past financial debt, have jobs, and can move into permanent housing.

Families are able to stay in available housing for up to 24 months, however, because of the program and the dedication of our families, most leave the shelter and enter the rental housing market after 12 months.

"Thank you for all of your help and for never giving up" - Shane, age 13.

"Thanking you just isn't enough, because not only have you saved my life, you saved my son's as well."

"Thank you for supporting me and being there when no one else cared." Feona, 1999 graduate
